    Kings Market Rebate Program
Kings Market offers a 1% Rebate Program to local schools, churches and nonprofits. The rebate is based upon receipts from Kings Market, Kings Variety, and Kings Marine stores.  We’re gathering receipts to submit on a quarterly basis to Kings. As you shop and receive Kings receipts, deposit them in our clear plastic collection box on the Bargain Book Cart in Treasure Cove.  All proceeds we receive from this program are used to fund Library events such as the Live and Learn series and the Children’s Summer Reading program.

    Friends Volunteer Jobs

    Volunteer Jobs

We are always in need of volunteers- Here are a few of our needs.

    • Treasure Cove Store - Interested in retailing? Help sell gently used books, dvds, and other items including artwork, jewelry, and tshirts. All proceeds go to support library programs.

Book Sorters - As the books and other items are donated to the Friends, each item needs to be inspected, sorted by category and taken to storage to be available for the book sales.

Book Sales - There are a number of opportunities to help make these events a success.

    · People to transport boxes of items from storage to the sale site
    · Table setup people to neatly arrange books on the proper tables
    · Cashiers

If you are interested in one of these volunteer positions, please contact 378-2798 and leave a message for the FOL.

Our major Friends of the Library event is the summer book sale, held the third weekend of July (July 20th & 21st, 2012). Currently, it is conducted at the Friday Harbor High School.  The Friends of the Library is currently seeking volunteers to help with the sale this year.  Please sign up to volunteer at the Library.  Your help is greatly appreciated.

The sale starts on Friday evening with a special opening for members of the friends only. Saturday, the sale starts at 10 am and ends at 2 pm.  Books in general are sold by the inch measured at the spine. Videos, coffee table books, old volumes, and audio books are often specially but reasonably priced.  You won't find a better deal!
