ABCmouse.com is a digital education program for children ages 2–8, created by the company Age of Learning, Inc. The program offers educational games, videos, puzzles, printables, and a library of regular and “read-aloud” children’s books, covering subjects including reading and language arts, math, science, health, social studies, music, and art.

Offering thousands of online art and craft video classes, Creativebug can help you learn crafts that are new to you or improve your skills. People of all skill levels can work alongside instructors to learn craft techniques. Gale Virtual Reference Library is a reference search portal which includes numerous Gale resources including resources for elementary, middle school, high school, and college students, as well as general and specialize research information.

Patrons can currently check-out 5 items per month on each library card they register with Hoopla.

Indie Author Project

Authors can submit their books to the Indie Author Project and share their works with readers on San Juan island and throughout Washington.  If your book is selected by Library Journal, it will be available to readers across the US and Canada.  Find out more about how you can get started today with this short video.

InterLibrary Loan – OCLC FirstSearch

Interlibrary Loan, or ILL, allows you to search for and request to borrow items in thousands of other libraries throughout the United States. Patrons may request up to three (3) interlibrary loan items per person at at time. This service is free unless a lending library charges. If an item is not available for free, but only for a charge, the Library will contact you to obtain approval.
